Carbon emissions by country

It is interesting to look at carbon emissions by country as the information does much to explain why certain governments are strongly opposed to renewables and/or carbon pricing. One of the best sources is the European Union’s Emissions Database for Atmospheric Research (EDGAR) which contains data on  total CO2, and GHG, emissions since 1990. While this data is interesting, it (obviously) takes no account of GDP or population. The EDGAR data adjusts for this! We’ve included below a graph of CO2 emissions adjusted for total population i.e. on a per capita basis.
